Hi, I’m Brooke Zook — the artist behind Brooke Zook Art.

I make colorful, intuitive artwork rooted in play, movement, faith, curiosity, and the little moments of beauty that are easy to miss when life gets loud.

I’ve always been drawn to color. The tiny flower hiding in the grass. Sunlight moving across water. An unexpected combination of pink and orange. The way a painting can suddenly become something I never planned.

Creating is how I slow down long enough to notice those things.

And somehow, it became how I found my way back to joy too.

I Create Because My Soul Needs to Play

My process is rarely rigid.

I pour, spin, layer, move paint around, follow color, change direction, and let curiosity lead. Sometimes I begin with an idea. Sometimes I just start with the colors that are pulling at me that day and see where they take me.

Nature continually finds its way into the work — sunflowers, jellyfish, gardens, water, animals, stars, movement and tiny imagined worlds.

I don’t create because I already know exactly what something is going to become.

I create because I want to discover it.

Wonder Has No Age Limit

I believe there is extraordinary beauty waiting for us in ordinary places.

Wonder, to me, is that childlike part of us that still stops to look closer.

It’s imagination.

It’s curiosity.

It’s delight.

It’s noticing God’s creativity woven through the world around us.

And I don’t believe we’re supposed to outgrow it.

My hope is that my artwork gives you a reason to pause for a moment, notice something beautiful, feel a little lighter, and reconnect with the playful, hopeful part of yourself that may have gotten buried underneath all the responsibilities of being a grown-up.

Art Became a Way Back to Myself

Creativity has carried me through some complicated seasons of life.

Becoming a twin mom, navigating changes in my health, building a business, and simply trying to keep up with life forced me to reconsider what actually makes me feel alive.

Again and again, I came back to the same things:

color.

nature.

making.

faith.

people.

joy.

Creating gave me a place to breathe, explore, and reconnect with myself.

That experience changed what I want my work to do in the world.

I don’t just want to make beautiful things.

I want to create things that make people feel something.

More Than Paintings

Original art is the beginning of Brooke Zook Art, but it doesn’t always have to end on a canvas.

Sometimes a painting becomes a print, a puzzle, something you can wear, something you can live with, or something that invites you to create too.

And sometimes the art becomes an experience.

Years of face painting, festivals, events, and yes — plenty of Sparkle — taught me something I’ll carry with me forever:

People light up when they’re given permission to play.

Sparkle was never really the point.

The feeling was.

That moment when someone sees themselves differently, laughs, gets curious, feels beautiful, or simply forgets about everything else for a minute — that’s the thing I care about.

What I’m Building

Ultimately, I want Brooke Zook Art to be about more than objects.

I want to create art and spaces that bring people together.

Places filled with color, food, music, movement, nature, creativity, conversation, laughter, and the kind of connection that makes life feel a little fuller.

For now, I’m building that world one painting, one story, one experience, and one moment of wonder at a time.
