4 ft × 5 ft | Acrylic on Gallery-Wrapped Canvas | Epoxy Top Coat
Celestial Drift was the largest painting I had ever attempted at the time—and the only one I had actually sketched before I started. I simply wanted to figure out how to arrange five jellyfish across such a large canvas.
My jellyfish have always represented me, and God is the water. They drift with the current, respond to what surrounds them, and trust that they are being carried by something much bigger than themselves.
Creating this painting felt a lot like that. I had a plan, but once the paint started moving, I had to respond to what was actually happening. I used everything from my breath and fans to a leaf blower, pouring techniques, and even hot-pink spray paint. 😂
For me, Celestial Drift represents trust, surrender, and freedom. ✨
