Expelling demons

Expelling Demons started as my spinner table, collecting layers of color, drips, marks, and movement from the paintings I created on top of it. One day, I added the small 8 × 8 canvas in the center, and my husband looked at it and said, “You’re done. This is it.”

As I looked at the finished piece, I started seeing a person emerging from the center, surrounded by dark, explosive energy. It reminded me of the process of letting go of old patterns, old ways of thinking, and the things that can't come with us into the next version of our lives.

Sometimes becoming requires making room.

For me, Expelling Demons represents release, becoming, and renewal. ✨
