Mystery in the Mess is my debut fine art collection, created in a season of chaos, surrender, and unplanned beauty. Each painting emerged when life felt upside down - after black mold forced us to leave our home, while we lived out of a leaking travel trailer, and as my husband battled seizures triggered by environmental illness. We landed in an unfamiliar town with no plan, feeling broken, displaced, and terrified of what tomorrow might bring.
These works carry the ache of unanswered prayers and the wild hope that rises when you choose to keep going anyway. Painted with gold when there was no money, with purple to remind me of divine royalty, and with fire and shimmer to speak life into dead spaces, this collection holds the rawest layers of my journey - the faith it took to paint without knowing what would come next.
