Navigating the Beautiful Unknown

This was the very first painting I created in the Mystery in the Mess collection — the true beginning of my journey into wild surrender. I titled it She Navigates the Beautiful Unknown because that’s exactly what I was doing when I made it. Chaos and beauty collided on the canvas in a kaleidoscope of rich reds, molten copper, glowing purples, emerald greens, and electric turquoise. It felt like a spiritual map written in color — a visual expression of the courage it takes to keep moving forward when you can't see what's ahead… only feel the pull of faith.

I didn’t use a paintbrush at all. Instead, I let the movement flow through breathwork, gravity, a spinning turntable, and the intuitive guidance of palette knives and edge tools. Every swirl, ripple, and fracture happened without a plan, but somehow it all came together as if it had been meant to emerge that way all along.

This piece marks the moment I made a choice: to trust the process, trust the Lord, and trust myself — even in the middle of uncertainty. And it’s been that trust that continues to carry me. To me, this painting is a beautiful reminder that some of the most awe-inspiring paths in life are the ones we could never have imagined or orchestrated on our own.
