Petal Prism is one of four companion sunflower paintings that can each stand on their own or be arranged together to create a larger sunflower composition.

I created this piece in a temporary studio space my dad gave me in his basement during a difficult season at home. I wasn't working from some big, predetermined concept. I was simply trying to protect my energy, surround myself with color, and find little moments of peace and joy through making.

There is a lot happening inside this painting, and I think that's part of what makes it special to me. There was a lot happening inside me, too.

What I love most now is seeing how something beautiful still emerged from all that movement and disorder.

Petal Prism belongs in my GROW Realm and represents being layered, resilient, and alive. 🌻
