Supernatural Strength was created during an extremely heavy season of my life when I felt like I had very little left to give.
Painting became a place of relief for me. I could go to my paints, lean into colors that made me feel good, and create without carrying everything else for a little while.
Something had also finally clicked in my creative process. After years of learning how my paints behaved, I had become confident enough to stop fighting them and start trusting them. I could surrender to the process, follow my instincts, and let the painting unfold.
I especially love the hot pink in this piece. It feels bold, feminine, joyful, and alive.
I named this painting Supernatural Strength because the strength carrying me through that season didn't feel entirely like my own. I felt like God was carrying me while I continued to grow and create.
For me, Supernatural Strength represents strength, surrender, and becoming. 💗
