Swirly Twirly Joy is my celebration of childlike wonder and carefree playfulness. I created it with teal tones that remind me of floating peacefully in the ocean, then layered in playful swirls of neon pinks, oranges, purples, and whites—the colors that made my heart sing as I painted.
Using breathwork, gravity, and the back of my paintbrush, I added countless mesmerizing swirls and blooms, each one dancing next to the other to create a pattern of pure delight. The white space on either side feels to me like the light of God surrounding you, while the teal center carries you into a peaceful current of joy.
This painting carries the same giggly spirit I bring to face painting children with my “swirly twirly” designs, evoking laughter, happiness, and a reminder to never lose your playful side.
